Perth Observatory

WA’s oldest observatory located just 30 minutes east of Perth is a unique opportunity to view our sky in an entirely new way. Get a close up of the moon surface and see objects like globular clusters and nebulae.

Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre

A specialist wildlife centre in the Perth Hills, Kaarakin is a not for profit dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of injured native black cockatoos. Here you can feed and interact with these amazing creatures while learning more about them. You’ll even have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the dingoes at Kaarakin if you’d like to experience the dingo encounter.

Fremantle Prison

The most intact convict establishment in Australia and one of WA’s most fascinating cultural attractions, Fremantle prison operated from 1855 to 1991 as one of our nation’s most notorious punishment prisons. Get the ghastly facts from an experienced tour guide during one of the prison day tours or test your nerves in the prison at night on the chilling torchlight tour. If you’re feeling extra adventurous you can descend into the labyrinth of tunnels 20 metres underneath the prison.

Rottnest Island

Just 18km off the coast of WA lies Rottnest Island. Home to the most adorably photogenic creature in the world, the quokka. With 63 beaches, clear waters and a wide range of activities ranging from whale watching and bike riding to skydiving and Segway tours it’s not hard to pack your day with fun and excitement at Rottnest Island. And if you find it hard to leave you can always extend your visit by staying at the accommodation on the island.

iFly Indoor Skydiving

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to fly? At iFly you can experience the thrill of flying in a safe and controlled environment with help from experienced instructors who control your flight in the chamber. Indoor skydiving is for all ages and abilities and equipment is provided by iFly. There’s even virtual reality flights if you’re feeling extra adventurous.

Pinnacles Desert

Thousands of limestone pillars rising up from the ground as far as you can see is something you have to set your eyes on at least once in your lifetime. If the expansive environment coupled with the fascinating limestone pillars up to 3.5m tall isn’t enough to get you here, try visiting at night when you’ll see a sky littered with more stars than you can count due to their being no light pollution.

AQWA

Marvel at the wonders found along the 12,000km of WA coastline in a single day as you explore all that AQWA has to offer. Journey through the surreal underwater tunnel, come face-to-face with giant sharks and witness the plethora of colours that is marine life. AQWA is no doubt a ‘must see’.

Wildlife encounters in Rockingham

Just 36 minutes south of Perth lies the beautiful Shoalwater Bay where you can cruise the crystal clear waters, visit sea lions, swim with wild dolphins and catch the ferry to penguin island to see the world’s smallest penguins.

Spend your day in absolute bliss as you admire the native wildflowers and panoramic views we’re so lucky to have right here in Perth at one of the worlds largest and most beautiful inner city parks, Kings Park.
