About Thomas

Coordinator

Thomas’ first experience supporting people living with disabilities was as a high school English teacher, teaching classes that included students with a range of different disabilities that informed how they engaged in the classroom. He found that empowering individual students with strategies that catered to their individual strengths was the most rewarding part of teaching, and moved into support work to give more of his time to providing personalised support.

Thomas is passionate about helping others to identify what they want in life and to grow towards their personal vision of a fulfilled future. Both in his original role at Good Company as a Mentor and in his current role as a Coordinator, he has enjoyed being able to connect with a variety of people to help them find the next steps towards their goals.

He believes that communication is at the heart of collaboration on the support process, and that developing strong, personalised routines is the surest path to living a good life made up of good days.

Outside work hours, Thomas enjoys making the most of time with his friends and family; walking in Perth’s parks and natural reserves, playing tabletop games, or chatting over a good meal.
