Sean Orpwood

Coordinator

Sean began his journey with Good Company Disability Services as a mentor, where he quickly discovered how rewarding it was to work directly with individuals and their families. His dedication, empathy, and ability to connect with people soon led him into the role of Client Engagement Specialist — a position that allows him to combine his passion for helping others with his skills in building strong, supportive relationships.

In this role, Sean works closely with participants and families, providing practical assistance while also fostering confidence, independence, and a sense of belonging. His approach is grounded in compassion, patience, and respect, with a focus on creating safe and welcoming spaces where participants feel heard, valued, and empowered. Sean takes pride in tailoring support so that each person feels their care is not just effective, but also personal and unique to them. His ultimate goal is to ensure that every individual he works with has the opportunity to thrive and feel confident in their journey.

Sean holds an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Western Australia, completed out of a strong desire to understand the complexities of mental health, behaviour, and resilience. He sees education as a lifelong journey and hopes to continue building his knowledge and skills to better support those he serves.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, which he values for its physical and mental challenges as well as the friendships it fosters. He also treasures time spent with family, friends, and his loyal dog, Kaiser — relationships that keep him grounded and remind him of what matters most.

Outside of his professional role, Sean also volunteers with Lifeline Australia, where he continues to pursue his passion for helping others.
