Student placements at Good Company Disability Services are unpaid, as they are designed to support your formal studies and professional development. Throughout your placement, you will receive meaningful learning opportunities, mentoring, and hands-on experience that aligns with your course requirements. Our team will also complete all necessary placement documentation and evaluations to ensure your hours and competencies are formally recognised by your training provider.

In addition, your training provider may also hold insurance to support your placement, ensuring comprehensive protection throughout your time with us.

Disability Support Services Placement FAQ

No. Student placements at Good Company Disability Services are unpaid, as they are part of your formal training and education. However, high-performing students may be offered a paid position at the completion of their placement.

 

You will gain hands-on experience in disability and community support, develop practical person-centred skills, and learn directly from experienced professionals. We also ensure your placement aligns with your course requirements.

 

The number of placement hours depends on your training provider and course requirements. We will work with you and your provider to ensure your hours and documentation are met.

 

Yes. Our team will complete all required placement documentation and evaluations provided by your training organisation.

 

To undertake placement with Good Company, you need to be currently enrolled in a relevant course, such as disability support, community services, nursing, social work, Human Resources, or allied health, and your course must require placement hours, or it must benefit your educational or career development.

 

 

We currently offer placements in both our Perth and Melbourne, both work from home/management type roles as well as within community support environments.

At the end of your placement, we will review your performance and provide feedback. High-performing students may be invited to continue in a paid role with Good Company Disability Services.

Yes. Good Company Disability Services maintains appropriate insurance to cover students completing their placement with us. This ensures you are protected while undertaking your learning activities in our workplace or in the community. Your training provider may also have its own insurance arrangements, and together these provide comprehensive coverage for your placement.
