Our Commitment
“At Good Company Disability Services, we believe accessibility is a right, not a privilege. We are dedicated to creating spaces—physical, digital, and relational—where everyone feels welcome, supported, and empowered.”
We are committed to ensuring that all people—regardless of ability, background, language, or communication preference—can access, understand, and participate in our services with dignity, independence, and equality.
This practice complies with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the NDIS Practice Standards on the date noted as effective date on this policy.
What Accessibility Means to Us
Accessibility refers to the inclusive design of environments, communication methods, technologies, and services that enable equitable access and participation for all people, including those with disability, older persons, neurodiverse individuals, and culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
We recognise that accessibility is not one-size-fits-all. Our approach is grounded in understanding and responding to intersecting barriers, including disability, language, culture, neurodiversity, trauma, gender identity, and communication style.
What We Do to Support Accessibility
We embed access and inclusion across all areas of our organisation:
1. Communication Access
Staff are trained in inclusive communication.
Written, verbal, and visual communication is tailored to suit individual needs during service delivery and planning.
2. Digital Accessibility
Our website is designed in alignment with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards wherever possible.
Pages are compatible with screen readers, have clear structure and navigation, and include descriptive text for links and images.
We actively invite feedback on website accessibility and address identified issues promptly.
3. Program and Service Design
Clients’ access needs, preferences, and support requirements are identified at intake and reviewed regularly.
We make reasonable adjustments to accommodate any barrier to participation.
People with lived experience of disability are engaged to co-design and review services, communication materials, and client tools.
