Code Of Conduct

Good Company Disability Services Pty Ltd
Effective Date: 19 Sep 2026
Last Updated: 19 Sep 2026

At Good Company Disability Services, we are committed to creating safe, respectful, and inclusive spaces for everyone we support.

This Code of Conduct explains the behaviours we ask all participants, family members, carers, and visitors to follow when engaging with our services — so we can work together in a safe and positive environment.

Your Rights Matter

We believe everyone deserves to:

  • Be safe and treated with respect

  • Make choices about their support

  • Communicate in a way that works best for them

  • Be listened to and speak up without fear

  • Have their culture, identity, and preferences respected

We promise to support your rights and dignity every step of the way.

What You Can Expect From Our Staff

Every Good Company worker is bound by the NDIS Code of Conduct and by our internal Staff Code of Conduct and Professional Boundaries Policy. This means our staff will:

  • Act with honesty, integrity and transparency
  • Respect your privacy and keep your information confidential
  • Provide supports safely and competently, with care and skill
  • Respect your right to make your own decisions
  • Never engage in, or tolerate, violence, abuse, neglect, exploitation or discrimination
  • Keep professional boundaries, including not accepting gifts or money, not entering personal or financial relationships with you, and not connecting with you on personal social media
  • Report anything that puts your safety or rights at risk

What Does Accessibility Mean?

Accessibility means that our services are easy to use, safe, and inclusive for everyone — no matter how you move, communicate, think, or live your life.

We work with you to understand your needs and make sure you can take part fully and comfortably.

Working Together Repectfully

To help everyone feel safe and welcome, here are some ways we can work well together:

Be Respectful

  • Treat staff, participants, and visitors kindly

  • Respect everyone’s personal space and privacy

  • Avoid yelling, swearing, or threatening behaviours

Communicate Safely

  • Let us know how you prefer to communicate

  • Share concerns calmly — we’re here to listen

  • Use phones and social media respectfully and privately

Help Keep Everyone Safe

  • Follow safety instructions from staff

  • Tell us if something doesn’t feel right or safe

  • Don’t bring drugs, alcohol, or weapons to any site

  • Avoid any behaviour that could hurt others

If Things Go Wrong

If someone isn’t following this Code:

  • We’ll talk with them respectfully

  • We’ll work together to find a safe and fair solution

  • Everyone’s safety will come first

  • You’ll be supported to take part in the process where needed
