What you’ll get practice in
Your first hello
What to share on your first call, and how to get a conversation going with someone new.
Your preferences
Knowing what you need, and asking for it.
Being open to new people
Adapting to change, and getting to know the whole team.
Why we work as a team
When you get support from Good Company, you’re never relying on just one person. Your mentor works with a team that shares updates, so if your mentor is away, someone who already knows your goals can step in.
Your choices and preferences always come first. Being open to everyone in the team who fits them means more support, new ideas and more people cheering you on. Meeting new people and adapting to change are skills, and they get easier with practice.
Research backs this up. In a study by Sandstrom and Dunn (2014), people felt happier and more like they belonged on days they talked with more people than usual. The Harvard Study of Adult Development, running since 1938, found that warm relationships are one of the best predictors of a happy, healthy life.
