School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) in Armadale

For young people aged roughly 16 to 22 who are finishing or have recently finished school, School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) build work-readiness over up to two years. In Armadale, SLES with Good Company can include:

  • Work-readiness skills: routines, communication, time management and confidence
  • Travel training to get to work, TAFE or training independently
  • Workplace visits and trying different kinds of work
  • Resumes, mock interviews and work experience with local employers
  • A clear plan for what happens after SLES funding ends

For school leavers in Armadale, your mentor can help you explore TAFE options at South Metropolitan TAFE’s Armadale campus alongside work experience with local employers.

You can read more about how SLES works on the NDIS website.

The best outcomes happen when everyone in your corner works together. With your consent, your mentor keeps your family, support coordinator, plan manager, school, employer and any Inclusive Employment Australia (formerly DES) provider in the loop. Good Company is an NDIS provider, not an Inclusive Employment Australia provider, so we work alongside your employment service rather than replacing it.

We also offer NDIS mentoring, microenterprise support for people who want to work for themselves, and other everyday supports in Armadale.

Why Choose Good Company for NDIS Armadale Support?

  • One mentor, matched to you on personality, interests and location, with the same mentor each week.
  • You set the direction. You choose the work and the pace, and we break big goals into small, achievable steps.
  • Local knowledge. We already support participants in Cannington, just up the Armadale line, so our mentors know the south-east corridor well, from Armadale Central to the growing Byford area.
  • No pressure, no promises we can’t keep. We’re not a recruitment agency and won’t push you into a job before you’re ready.
